golden sunrise dressing

golden sunrise dressing

to my everlasting embarrassment, i haven't posted in a solid month.

i've been doing 90% more shopping and 90% less cooking, which
is probably why my fridge has melting mushrooms and i've dropped
a dress size.

i'm so sorry i've been such a negligent blogger!  i tend to post when
i cook, and since the holidays have been so busy at work, i haven't
been doing too much cooking.

that being said, i wanted to share with you guys a beautiful dressing
i make every morning.  nutritional yeast is my little indulgence.

--------
blanche assorted veggies.  i like napa cabbage, onion, carrot, and turnip.

:: combine ::
1 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp bragg's liquid aminos
1 tbsp fresh-squeezed lemon juice
heaping tbsp nutritional yeast

mix, slather, and enjoy!

  1. So what is your opinion on nutritional yeast, besides it being delicious? :) Does it have the same negatives as baker´s yeast which is not usually used in MB? Some people say that nutritional yeast is "deactivated" and thus not as harmful as yeast in baked goods...

  2. i have heard the "deactivated" theory. i only use it when my system is strong. if i'm going through a flare-up or a period of discharge, i completely discontinue use. this wasn't intuitive to me when i first went macro, but as the years have gone on, i tend to have a sense of what i need to drop and what i need to increase when my energy is sensitive.

i also cut back on use in the summer when a nice, lighter energy is better. i cut back on my oils and if my steamed veggies have anything on them, it's a little ume vinegar or some gomashio.
